A senior executive (C-suite, business unit leader, VP or Director) within the customer's organization who formally owns the vendor relationship and influences renewals, expansion, churn decision, and escalations.

THE TRUTH: This is a structural safeguard (say, insurance) that prevents accounts from disruptions and churn. This is not a relationship metric. They anchor your product/service to their internal strategy ensuring continuity and resilience even in chaos, day-to-day contact person's exit, and internal politics.

Some vendor-organizations also have an executive sponsor (senior executive) who coordinates this relationship and expected outcomes with the customer.
